Welcome to Praise Center
"Where we Learn, Grow , Go and Do the Work"
Bishop Donald H. Butler
Bishop Donald H. Butler has dedicated his life to preaching and teaching for over 40 years. His mandate is to build, equip, and edify the Body of Christ, and encourage all to live and walk out a life of integrity. He served in many facets of ministry in his early years including Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Choir Director, Usher Captain, Director of a local Television Ministry, and Assistant District Superintendent.

He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Praise Center, established on November 10, 1984. He was ordained in July 1985 and pursued his theological training through International Seminary, Plymouth, Florida.
In 1995, Praise Center relocated to East Compton, merged with East Compton Church of God in Christ, and changed its name to Praise Center of East Compton Church of God in Christ. Bishop Butler received his second ordination certification as Elder and Pastor under Bishop Charles E. Blake that same year. In 2005, Praise Center made a leap of faith and relocated to Carson, California to a 10,000-square-foot building, changing its name to Praise Center Community Church. In November 2006, the Lord changed the assignment of Bishop Butler and Praise Center to make a leap of faith and relocate the ministry from California to Texas on January 1, 2008. Thirteen families would follow this mandate.
Bishop Butler was consecrated as the Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Covenant Ministries on October 9, 2009. Kingdom Covenant Ministries was established in response to pastors and leaders who sought personal covering for accountability, training, resources, and assistance in becoming solid and self-supporting ministries fully capable of fulfilling their purpose for the Kingdom.
A major leap of faith would mark the life of Bishop Butler and set the tone for others to follow as he undertook the Kingdom assignment to purchase land and build a church for Praise Center. Through faith, favor, and standing on Mark 9:23, “all things are possible to him that believe,” Praise Center was built from the ground up debt-free during a pandemic. The first service was held on May 8, 2022. Since then, Bishop Butler and KCM have assisted other churches and ministries across the nation to build for Kingdom purpose and community impact.
Bishop Butler is married to the love of his life Dr. Yolanda G. Butler. They have two children, and eight grandchildren whom they adore and are the spiritual parents to chosen sons and daughters in the gospel.
